Dentistry camp a primer for international volunteers

Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic—Academy of Dentistry International will host a Volunteer Camp April 12-20 in the Dominican Republic.

The program is designed to give dentists exposure to international volunteer work. The program includes a one-day orientation at the Institute for Latin American Concern Campus in Santiago de los Caballeros, a Creighton University international campus.

Volunteers spend the rest of the camp gaining hands-on experience in full outreach treatment and screenings in remote villages. The program is taught in English, and a translator accompanies volunteers in the field.

An optional mission in Haiti is also planned for April 21-25.
